Centre Development Telematics

Telematics (C-DOT) is a telecommunications technology development center owned by the Government of India. It was established in 1984 to design digital exchanges. It has offices in Delhi, Bangalore and Kolkata. It is one of the 2 Indian government organizations rated at maturity level 5 of CMMI-DEV called Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) Software Technology Center. In February 2014, United Telecom Limited became the technology licensee of CDOT and won a GPON order of around Rs.1000 crore from BBNL. National Optical Fiber Network C-Dot also won the NMS tender for the same project. CDOT has made significant contributions to the telecom sector and is celebrated as a temple of technology company in India. CDOT is currently the National Disaster Management Authority implementing a Common Alert Protocol for India by developing a location-based integrated disaster early warning system for the Government of India. In this project, IMD, CWC, INCOIS, GSI, SASE and national level state level disaster management authorities are also included in a common platform for dissemination of common warnings for cyclones, floods, storms. hurricane, tsunami, landslide, landslide and avalanche Forecasting agencies. With the completion of the project, not only can we save precious human life, but it also works to know how to take India one more step forward to make the country a disaster.
