About BPSC The Bihar Public Service Commission BPSC. For the Sub section 1 of section 261 of the Government of India Act 1935. as adapted. Its constitutional position was clarified with the declaration of the Constitution of India on 26 January 1950. There are constitutional body under Article 315 of the Constitution of India.
The Bihar Public Service Commission initially commenced its operations for the state of Bihar with its headquarters in Ranchi. For the state government decided to shift and headquarters of the commission from Ranchi to Patna it was eventually shifted to Patna on the 1 March 1951.
